Fragments of Desire is an installation consisting of composited artifacts documenting my exchanges with men over online mobile applications. The apps that I have chosen to engage in have been designed primarily to facilitate casual intimate encounters. Through video, photography, and prints on fabric, I composed archived online conversations between other men and myself. The conversations that occur are in response to how I portray myself on a digital platform and the intimate physical relationships that develop as a result of this exchange are what interest me most. Through my artistic practice and research, I aim to unveil the subjectivity of online identities and call into question what it means to desire and be desired through the screen.
